The Wayside Club Centre Glasgow
The Wayside Club was established in 1932 to meet the needs of the homeless and those suffering from hardship, addiction to alcohol or gambling. It is operated by the Legion of Mary, a Catholic lay organisation and helpers from other religions and none.
We do not judge or condemn anyone no matter what their past has been.
We listen, comfort, give advice if required and try to assist in progressing to a more hopeful future.
It provides a warm, friendly and safe environment every evening and Saturday afternoon throughout the year including all the Public holidays.
Those attending are offered FREE soup, tea, coffee juice, sandwiches are also provided including donations from PRET A Manger and cakes and biscuits from Lightbody
Shaving and Showers are also available for both male and females and even a free game of Bingo is thrown in most evenings.
A small library and first aid room is located on the first and second Floor.
Private rooms are there for quiet chat or contact with other friends and outside agencies for further help.
